Bishopbriggs is an affluent commuter suburb situated 5 miles north of Glasgow city centre.

Though close to Scotland’s largest city and with strong rail and road links, Bishopbriggs has been able to retain a sense of its own identity and is a thriving community with shopping and recreational facilities. The town centre is known as ‘The Bishopbriggs Cross’ and contains the town’s war memorial, erected in 1920, as well as many shops and restaurants, including the Triangle Shopping Centre.

A number of local businesses are located at Huntershill Village, which sits at the top of the Crowhill area, including a gift shop, garden centre and coffee shop. Huntershill Village is also home to various memorials. These include a coal hutch dedicated to the Miners of the World, and memorials to 18th century political reformer Thomas Muir of Huntershill. Bishopbriggs Library hosts a permanent exhibition to Muir which includes a specially commissioned bust of the reformer by celebrated Scottish sculptor Alexander Stoddart. Bishopbriggs is also known for its leisure centre, the Leisuredrome, which is one of the best equipped in Scotland. The town also has three golf courses, including the Bishopbriggs Golf Club and the Cawder Golf Club.

The town lies at a junction on the M80 motorway, which runs from Glasgow to Stirling and connects with roads to Edinburgh and other towns. Bishopbriggs has its own railway station and a variety of bus services are available, connecting Bishopbriggs locally and to major towns. Bishopbriggs also sits on the Forth and Clyde Canal.

    Lewis was my estate agent for my flat in Glasgow which I’ve just sold. It was on the market for 3 days before I accepted an offer. The selling process is stressful for sure but Lewis handled it well. At the first meeting, I didn’t believe Lewis when he gave me his thoughts on the price I would get for the property, I had to trust him and the process and sure enough, he was right and I was flabbergasted to say the least. I would highly recommend using them, so easy to deal with. No flashy sales brochures required, easy to communicate with and knows what’s going on in Glasgow with the prices of property (unlike me ha). Thank you Lewis.
